A Roller-Coster Trading Journey
Dr. Patrick Oben is a practicing internal medicine physician in Des Moines, Iowa, and the Founder/Chief Instructor at Virtuous Trading. Just like many retail traders, he ventured into trading and investing without a solid foundation in the business. To his greatest dismay, he made a remarkable $30,000 in three days using options—out of luck! He then lost everything, including the profits and his initial trading capital.
Rather than quitting, he vowed to uncover the mystery behind the financial markets and trading success. After 4-5 years of extensively studying the markets and actively trading, and after testing a wide range of strategies from moving averages to market profiles, he finally discovered why retail traders succeed in their primary field and fail miserably in the financial markets. And this is his conclusion: trading is not more complex than other fields such as medicine or engineering. Rather, success depends on a different set of rules and a different mindset.
He has summarised his years studying the market, repeated losses, and final success in the market in the trading course he termed “Firm Foundation”. Worthy of the time, scrutiny, and precision of a physician, this course is not your typical trading education and will deliver what it promises.
